Jerry Diserens and his wife, Kendra, began their full-time ministry at Evangel in 1994. They have been members of Evangel since 1979. Jerry graduated from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary in 1988 having completed the Master of Divinity requirements. Jerry has served as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, and youth director and teacher. He oversees the senior adult ministry called OASIS and serves as an agent of connection involving many into service ministries. Kendra has taught the Ladies’ Adult Bible Fellowship for 25 years. They have four boys, Benjamin, Aaron, and twins David and Daniel. They have eight grandchildren.

Stephen came to Evangel in 2014 as a music ministry intern. In May 2015, he was called by Evangel to join the pastoral team. Stephen now serves in administrative roles and leads all musical activities. Stephen received a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Faith Baptist Theological Seminary and a Master of Music Composition from Central Michigan University. He met his wife, Katie, at Evangel, they were married in 2016 and they have four children.

Barry was brought on as a Pastoral Assistant in April 2022 to help lead Evangel Student Ministries. He and his wife, Karissa, enjoy discipling youth and seeing their passion for Christ grow. Barry received a Master of Arts in Bible from Maranatha Baptist University and is pursuing a Master of Divinity from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary.
